I first met my cousin George Robinson at his parents home in Petoskey, MI, summer of 2004, and visited with him again at Mildred Everingham's birthday party in Allis township, Presque Isle County, MI 2004. George told me that he started a successful aeronautics company and later sold it. I have some photos of his cousins, parents and George from 2004.

2022 OBITUARY:
George Arden Robinson went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2022, in Naples, Florida, where he resided for the winter months. He was born in Onaway Feb 4, 1938. George met his life love Barbara, and they were married May 25, 1963. A year later they had their first daughter, Les-Lee and 2 years later their second daughter Jaye lee.
George was raised in Petoskey and was a proud graduate of PHS, where he was an all-around athlete and excelled in basketball, track and football. After high school, he joined the Marines and loved every minute of it. After he was honorably discharged, he went on to get his Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University, Masters from American University in Washington D.C, and finally, his Juris Doctor from George Mason University in Virginia. George started his career in Washington D.C. as a civilian working for the Navy in Satellite Communications. After he retired from the Navy, he built up his own satellite communication company - Advanced Communication Systems. He started his company from the bottom up and loved every challenge along the way.
George had a way about him; he found humor in life and showed his family and friends how important they were to him. He had a high level of expectations which he upheld himself. George is survived by his wife Barbara, daughters Les-Lee, Jaye lee (Jim) grandchildren Emilee, Tanner and Jo'Lee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Robinson, father, Gerry Robinson, brother, Karl Robinson, best friend Clark Ketchum, and his beloved dog Buddy.
George's life will be remembered and celebrated during a graveside service that is planned for 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 15th at Greenwood Cemetery, all are welcome. Beginning at 2:00 p.m. George's family will receive friends at the Petoskey Bay View Country Club.
