CATHERINE TALERICO EVERNHAM SCHILDGE, 55, of OCEAN TOWNSHIP, died Monday (Nov. 4) at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was a graduate of Brookdale Community College, where she received her RN. She then received her BSN at Monmouth University in 1990. During her career as a registered nurse, she worked at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank in various departments, including the Endoscopy Department for four years. She was also once the supervisor of the Medical Surgical Department and the Outpatient Department along with being the administrative assistant of nursing at Riverview. Born in Long Branch, she lived in Neptune before moving toOcean Township 12 years ago.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald B. Evernham, in 1985; a daughter, Amy Evernham, in 1997; and her parents, Joseph and Jeannie Lynn Talerico. Surviving are her husband, Richard L. Schildge; a daughter, Bridget DeNofa of Philadelphia; a brother, Joseph A. Talerico Jr. of Belmar; three sisters, Lynda Talerico of Eatontown, Mary Talerico of Wall, and Diana Talerico of Eatontown; two grandchildren, Danny and Alyssa; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hamilton Cemetery, Neptune.
