Services for Mrs. Ethel Everingham McCarroll, 86, formerly of Nedrow, who died yesterday at Loretto Geriatric Center, will be tomorrow at 3 pm at the Loretto Geriatric Center Chapel.
Mrs. McCarroll was a LaFayette native and had resided in Nedrow for more than 60 years.
She was graduated from Rome City Hospital, and began her nursing career at the former Syracuse General Hospital. In 1928, when New York State initiated help service for the residents of Onondaga County, Mrs. McCarroll was one of the original staff nurses
Her areas includeed the Town of Tully, Otisco, LaFayette and the Onondaga Indian Reservation. Her services in home aid included immunization, nutrition, and well-baby clinics.
Mrs. McCarroll married Stanley McCarroll in 1951. He died in 1965.
Surviving are two sisters, a twin sister, Mrs. Edith White of Loretto Geriatric Center and Mrs. Ella Tompkins of Apulia Station; a niece, Mrs. Helen Seymour of Delona, and several cousins.
