Despite all the work she had to do, she somehow found time for her hobbies - quilting, sewing, gardening, and reading. Her greatest enjoyment was fishing. She was an avid fisherwoman and could out fish most men. Mildred was a long time member of the Onaway United Methodist Church, The Smiling Circle Club, and the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Faye (David) Gee and Pat Vermilya, both of Onaway; sons, Ken (Sandy) of Afton, Larry (Yvonne) of Cheboygan, and Don (Ronda) Everingham of Indian River; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and newphews. Preceding Mildred in death are her husband, Percy on March 5, 2002; grandson, Ronnie Everingham; brother, Elwayne "Bud" McAtee; and sisters, Ruth Nelson and Donna Skinner.
