    1948 The Bay City Times, Jan 8, 1948,.. "Illness fatal to Onaway farmer.- Charles Badgero died at Cheboygan hospital. Charles Badgero, prominent resident of Onaway for the past 40 years, died at the Cheboygan hoptial Wednesday morning. Born in Ontario, Canada, Sept 23, 1871. On July 18, 1900, he married the former Miss Laura Green, of Croswell, MI. Surviving are his widow, four sons, William and Carl of Onaway, Max of Detroit and Richard, of Holland; a daughter, Mrs. Mae Greenwood, of Caro; four brothers, John of Goodwill, Fred of Hillman, Ray of Saginaw and Roy of Onaway, and three sisters, Mrs. George Perry of Petoskey, Mrs. Elizabeth Pomella of Birmingham and Mrs. Alva Fairchild of Detoit."
