Annie (Egan) Everingham likely died or divorced between 1900 & 1910, (see 1901 death record below) and Annie Townsend is living with the Everinghams in 1910, although John still notes in the 1910 census that he is married, maybe to Ms.Townsend?, although she is listed as single. And by the 1920 CENSUS Annie Townsend is married to John.

1901 Philadelphia City Death Certificate (#12568) ... Anna S. Everingham, age 31, born in Philadelphia, PA, married, died December 10, 1901 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Burial at Montrose Cemetery, Delaware County, PA, on Dec 13, 1901.

1910 CENSUS Camden ward 2, Camden, NJ (Page 1, family #13) .. John R. Everingham 41, married,.. John S. Everingham 15,.. Thompson Everingham 13,.. Anna Everingham 12,.. Annie Townsend 46, b.Ireland, single,.. George M. Townsend 16,.. Ruth E. Townsend 12.

1920 CENSUS Burlington County, New Jersey (Sheet 36) ... John R. Everingham 51, b.NJ,... Annie Everingham 56, b.Ireland, wife.

1930 CENSUS Franklin, Gloucester, NJ (sheet 15A, family 362) ... John R. Everingham 61, b.NJ, married,.. Anna M. Townsend 66, b.Ireland, housekeeper, widowed,.. George H. Townsend 17, b.NJ, boarder. This is about as confusing as it gets!... John & Annie's grandson Thompson (b.1929) stated that "George Townsend" was a 1/2 brother... and the Census data of 1910 shows John married (no wife listed) and Annie Townsend, single,.. in 1920 they are listed as husband and wife, but in 1930 John is listed as married but Anna's listed relationship to the head of household is "housekeeper" and she is noted as widowed.... The 1900 census, helped me prove that Annie Egan and Annie Townsend are different people, and I found a Anna Everingham had died in the city of Philadelphia in 1901, where this family was living in 1900 according to the Census.
