Research timeline of Kevin Everingham of MI, 2011-2012;

1850 CENSUS Jefferson, Logan County, Ohio (home/family #87, line 11) ... Henry Everingham 28, (b.~1822), b.NJ,.. Saphronia Everingham 22, b.OH,... Mary S. Everingham 7, b.OH,.. Wm. H. Everingham 2, b.OH

I am not positive that these records refer to the same William, but there are two records for William H. Everingham of Ohio applying for a marriage license to marry (Mary Jane Foster) in Coshocton County, OH... I have seen the register in both of these cases and there is no return in the book recording an actual marriage, the return is left blank.
1869 Coshocton County Ohio Marriage LICENSE (page 218)... October 21, 1869, William H. Everingham and Jane Foster, license; M.C. McFarland, Probate Judge.. Personally came William H. Everingham applying for license for himself to be married to Jane Foster, he swore that he was over age 21, and is unmarried, that the said Jane Foster is over 18 and unmarried, signed William H. Everingham, sworn to an subscribed before me, this 21 day of October 1869, Suther S. Cantwell, J.P. (marriage return section is left blank)
1869 Coshocton County Ohio Marriage LICENSE (page 222)... November 17, 1869, William H. Everingham and Mary J. Foster, license; M.C. McFarland, Probate Judge.. Personally came William H. Everingham applying for license for himself to be married to Mary J. Foster, he swore that he was over age 21, and is unmarried, that the said Mary J. Foster is over 18 and unmarried, signed W.H. Everingham, sworn to an subscribed before me, this 17th day of November 1869, Suther S. Cantwell, Clerk. (marriage return section is again left blank)
Did this marriage ever take place? Neither give any parents names, so it's impossible to be absolutely sure who they are. William registered for a marriage license twice, but there is no record that I've seen, that shows they ever got married. Was this a case of (cold feet) where Jane backed out both times?

There are too many Mary, Jane or Mary Jane Fosters in Ohio in 1860 and 1870 to figure out who it was without a great deal of research... A Mary Jane Foster ... shows up in the 1860 Census of Jefferson, Coshocton, OH (same county as the marriage license) with parents William R. Foster and Elisabeth (Davis) Foster, This Mary Jane was (born about 1850) but could NOT have been the same person since this Mary Jane married James Bowers and had a child before 1869 and died in 1918 as Mary Jane Bowers.

1870 William was NOT living with his parents and siblings in 1870.

There are so many William Everingham's that it is very hard to determine if this one grew up and married or had children. I have found no proof of his adult life, or death.
