2009 The Clare Sentinel, Clare, MI, 14 April 2009, "Robert J. Silverthorne, age 46 of Clare, passed away late Tuesday evening, April 7, 2009 in Saginaw. Robert was also known as Bobby, Uncle Baldie and Uncle Elmo. He was born on October 24, 1962 in Lansing the son of Jack A. and Nellie E. (Wiggins) Silverthorne. He was united in marriage to Dawn Groce on October 4, 1998. Robert enjoyed being outdoors and spending quality time with his family. Robert also has a love for old cars and trains.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Dawn, as well as his two very special sons, Jeff and Brandon. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews Becky, Wendy, Tim Jr. Xander, Chris, Jack, Tim, Jason, Shelley, Nichole, Jamie, Debra, Josh, Alex and Quentin. Robert was predeceased by his parents."
