fact sources and writings about this individual:

1842 according to this (Trustee case) William R. Thurston Evernghim's residence was in Rahway, New Jersey, at that time.

Research of Kevin Everingham, 2011;
1860 CENSUS Burr Oak Twp., Mitchell County, Iowa ... William T. Everinghim, age 25, born in New York, Mary W., wife, 24, b.NY,.. Lilian R. 2, b.IA. by the 1870 census, Lilian was no longer there, probably died young.

1870 CENSUS Manchester, Passiac, New Jersey ... William T. Everinghim, 35, b.NY, occ: Broker in Real Estate, value of real estate property $7,000, personal property $400,.. Mary 34,.. Martha S. 8,.. William D. 5,.. Mary J. 1,.. Anna McCarten 19, domestic, b.NJ.

1879 Passaic County, New Jersey birth records.. "female Everingham, born 12 June 1879 at Paterson, Passaic, NJ, d/o Wm Everigham & Richardson." This is almost certainly Louisa and has a matching birth date and gives her mother's maiden name. Also see Martha's page. Her death certificate gives her mother's name.

1880 CENSUS Paterson, Passiac, New Jersey ... William Everinghing, 45, b.NY, parents b.NY, married, occ: manufacturing silk braid,... Mary W., wife, b.NY, parents b.MASS,... Mattie S. 18, female,... William 14, male,... Mary J. 11, female,... Henry W. 9, male,... Louisa 1, female.

1885 STATE CENSUS Patterson, Passaic, New Jersey ... William Everinghim, Mary, William D., Harry W., Mattie, May, Lillie. index only, have not seen this census.

1890 U.S. Civil War and Later Pension Index 1861-1917. Veterans of Co.F, regiment 15 NY.... William T. Everinghim, of NY, Pension, November 10, 1890.
Civil War Pensions National Archives and Records Administration, Organization Index to Pension Files of Veterans Who Served Between 1861 and 1900, (T289)... William T. Everinghim, Company F, 15th Regiment, New York, Heavy Artillery.

1896 New Jersey Deaths and Burial database.. "Wm. R. Everingham, no age given, resident of New Jersey, died 13 Feb 1896 at Camden, Camden county, NJ. No info about parents." certainly this could be an infant but fits perfectly as this William since we know Mary was a widower by 1900. This is very likely the same William.

1900 CENSUS Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri ... Mary E. Everinghim, b.Jan 1835, age 65, widowed, is living with her daughter; Louisa E. (married name is hard to read)

Index to Compiled Service Records of Volunteer Union Soldiers Who Served in Organizations From the State of New York. --- 15th Regiment, New York Heavy Artillery, Company F., Union Army... William T. Everinghim Rank in; 2nd Lieutenant,.. Rank out: First Lieutenant. Enlisted at age 28 June 19, 1863 in New York City, NY
