1870 CENSUS Deptford, Gloucester, NJ ... (not sure if this is the right person or not...age is off...but names fit.) Family #472 ... Jas. Reeves 27, farmer,.. Abigail 22,.. David Everham 45, farm laborer,.. Charles Moore 18, farm laborer. is it possible that after his wife's death in 1867, that David began to underestimate his age to get work with the "Reeves" family?

    1880 CENSUS Chester, Burlington, New Jersey ... David Everham, 60, widowed, b.NJ, parents b.NJ, laborer, living with Isiah W. Reeves 39, Sarah 32, Isiah W. 9, Mary M. 7,... and Jeremiah Ross 14, John L. Trimblett 19.

From the CENSUS data, I believe it is likely that David's mother was "ARTIS" living with them in 1860... she was living with John Everham in 1850.. John & David are close in age and I think may be brothers.
