The newspaper & death certificate show him aged 87 years which agrees with the 1820 Census of Niagara Co. N.Y. The 1861 census of Dunnville Village c-1024), shows him as 40, born in Canada West, an Evangelical Methodist and single.

The 1881 Census for Dunnville Town (c-13254), shows him in one place as 62 and another at 63. He was listed as being born in the U.S., Church of England, and a Farmer, working for the David Price Family. His nephew, Burroughs Dell, married Anna Price who was a sibling of his employer. Ira never married.

Ira Everingham (b.1813) and his brother Henry Everingham (b.1819) were found on a pay list of Captain Joshua Thompson's Dunnville Volunteers, February of 1838. they were assisting the Canadian government to contain uprisings. (Book Ref: The Everingham Family of MI (c)2006)
