Adelaide Markle, 83, died on Sunday, October 22, 2006. She was born September 21, 1924 in Kinde to William and Florence Everingham. Ad lived most of her life in Kinde where she started her banking career with Hubbard State Bank and continued in banking for 30 plus years. She recently relocated to Lansing so her family could help with her care. Ad will be remembered by all who knew her as a loving and dedicated wife of 28 years to Earl Markle; a fiercely proud mother of her four sons, Jeffrey, Steven, Joel and William; and a gentle and loving grandmother to all six grandchildren, Erin, Casey, Amanda, Andrew, Rebecca and Cassandra, of whom she adored every finger and toe. She was friend and sister to Elizabeth Wahl, Lois Everingham, Cherry Nickle and Kit Tamblyn; and brother, Raymond Everingham. She counted her nieces and nephews as an extension of her own children and loved them as such. Ad's entire family will miss her wonderful memories and stories! There was nary a moment in her life she didn't recall with clarity. She delighted in sharing stories of her youth, her boys' childhood adventures, and she provided clear details of her grandchildren's most endearing moments. Her most recent joys were the addition of her youngest grandchild, Cassandra Markle, and the birth of her first great-grandchild, Sierra Palmer. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Kinde Presbyterian Church.
