"Edith Everingham, age 11"

Aunt "Edie" was a very artistic and musical person with natural talent for both. She could play most keyboard and string instruments and like her father was self-taught. During my research on the family, several older generation family and friends commented on the musical talent of Dale Everingham and his daughter Edith. I remember camping at Mud Lake in Onaway, MI and she was playing an old "dulcimer" that someone had found in an attic. A cousin of her mother recalled that as a young lady, Edith was a good bass player. She inspired creativity in many of her nieces & nephews by playing games, (she loved Yahtzee) teaching us to draw and sang & played music for us. She was like a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews. Her death was a huge loss to her extended family.

Tomahawk School Read a little about the school Edith attended.
late 1940's to mid 1950's Edith likely participated in the Everingham orchestra playing music at local barns & hall's, as a young woman.
