(name Evingham per "The Fayetteville Gazette," Aug. 7, 1862.) (Evingham was 21 when he enlisted on Aug. 12, 1862 and was a private when he was transferred to the lst NY Independent Battery on Dec. 5, 1863, Swinfen.) (He was Living in Fayetteville in 1888.)

Caution -- This 1891 newspaper notice is not absolutely proven to be this same John Everingham of Manlius since there were several John's in this family.

The only two of the children listed above who seem to have had children of their own (that I know of) was "Harry",... who is buried next to his daughter "Edith May" (1914-1915) and Seymour.., Harry died in 1973 (see cemetery record & SSDI below)

1928 The Fayetteville Bulletin, Thurs. July 12, 1928.. "Funeral services were held from the home last Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Smith Everingham, age 81 years. She is survived by five sons, Arthur, Ira, Harry, Bert and Seymour Everingham. Mrs. Everingham had been in failing health for a long time and confined to bed for several months. She was a kind and devoted mother in the home where she will be missed by the sons for whom she has cared so long. Mrs. Everingham also leaves one grandson, John Everingham, and two grandaughters, Jane and Susan Everingham."

1973 US SSDI -- Harry Everingham b.25 December 1886,.. SSN issued in NY,.. died October 1973, age 87 at Onondaga, NY.
