  • Jeremiah EVERINGHAM (b.bet 1670-1680)
    		• according to the March 1701 Middletown, NJ court minutes: Jeremiah Everingham was listed among the 100 people who siezed the Governor & court and held them from the 25th of March until Saturday, the 29th of March, 1701. This record is part of the proceedings of the New Jersey Historical Society 2nd series, Vol III, 1874 Jeremiah would probably not have been named if he was not an adult.

    Also of interest is the fact that all other early Everinghams found were born in the 1690's to 1703 Which (if Jeremiah was their father) would give him a birth date of closer to 1670.

    These are believed to be among the first Everinghams in America. By some accounts, they may have arrived in 1703. Although see (Jeremiah) above who was there in 1701. They were most likely born in England (Great Britan) and immigrated with parents as boys, or immigrated as young men to America. Were they all from the same family? It is possible that they were born in America but I have seen no proof. Did the parents survive the trip? No proof of parents of the Everinghams above has ever been found. (that I know of) The Everinghams below are most likely the children of one of the couples listed above.
